Constables receive Golden Alert Training
Whitley
county Constables Ron Bowling and Andy Moses along with Constables from
across the state meet at the Hal Rogers Training facility in Somerset
Kentucky Saturday to receive the latest training on practices and
procedures for "Golden Alerts" within the state. The training provided by
the Kentucky Constables Association was instructed by Jerry Rains, Regional
Response Manager with the Division of Kentucky Emergency Management. Officers were provided with training and information during the session
on procedures in establishing criteria, authorities to declare the
alert, procedures on notification to first responders, along with
information to be obtained to provide to local media. Golden Alerts are issued within the state when a person is reported
lost /missing having a developmental disability, physical, mental
impairment or the disappearance poses a credible threat to the health
and safety of the person lost/missing. Pictured in the photo is Jason
